Bit lumpy so far

Might be worth it when they actually start transmitting 4K content which is meant to be the start of the season I've read! Also if you've got multiple tells around the house, too many people hooked on telly!

Record 4 things and watch a 5th who on earth does that? Extra storage? I only use 40% of the current hd box which is 1tb not yet for me

You've done well there, Joe. Gonna see if I can get a bit knocked off. Pretend I've lost a leg in action or summat.

Yes mate, £88 plus a couple of pennies. That's for the lot. Do a bit of googling, that's pretty much what it should be. Excellent for the nipper, he can have a bespoke set-up in his room. Bit of nature shit, superheroes reminders, that sort of stuff.

My sport and movies discount came over, the main package discount I had didn't. Think I'm paying about £60 a month for the next 9 months, goes up to £88.60 after that

Oops, Joe, meant record not pause. You paying £88? Couple of different prices floating about.

Re: Sky Q - anyone got one
KP - the only thing that's not available is using the Mini boxes as Wi-Fi hotspots. And as they're not actual hotspots, but extenders, it halves you available bandwidth each time anyway.

I have ethernet run round my house, so as soon as the engineer went I cabled the boxes up and turned all the wi-fi stuff off in the service menu (Home button, 0, 0, 1, Select)

Re: Sky Q - anyone got one
Dump - nope, that doesn't work. Does work if you press record mind you

Re: Sky Q - anyone got one
I heard that it's currently only worth getting if you also have Sky Broadband. All the features aren't available if you use another broadband provider.

Joe, apparently it includes live tele if you pause before switching rooms. So it's kind of live. Ish.

Re: Sky Q - anyone got one
I've got it - Sky Q silver in the main room, and a Sky Q mini in the bedroom. There's still a few bugs and some minor annoyances, but overall it's really good.

The thing they advertise it on, seamlessly continuing your viewing regardless of room/tablet is only for recorded stuff at the mo, and doesn't include live TV. They fail to mention that - although it's coming in a future software update

Trunders, it's for the lot. Phone, tv, broadband, full package (sports/movies etc), 4 rooms, multi screen, recording 4 channels at once while watching a fifth, double the storage of sky+ and a filthy reach-around from the engineer. Wallop.

Buster 1:21 Thu May 19
Re: Sky Q - anyone got one
I pay £39 a month for two rooms, HD and the full monty.

You want to look at downloading your TV shows if you like FREE stuff, Dump.

£88 a month seems a hell of a lot. Is that the average for Sky?

How is it not worth it when it's the same price as your current Sky+ but has double the capabilities, Matthew?

The sky engineer who fitted my sky for me said it wasn't worth it.

That's good enough for me.
